Privacy
DefenceXpress is in controlled pre-launch development. This page explains what the current public website does and does not process.
Pathway Finder and Security Officer Scenario Challenge
Your pathway selections and challenge answers are processed in your browser for the current visit. They are not a job application, competence assessment, eligibility decision, Academy record or statutory training record.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity remain disabled for the limited pre-launch website. The existing cookie-preference control prepares for a future consent-based analytics rollout, but choosing analytics here does not by itself activate these disabled services. Any later activation requires appropriate consent where applicable, updated disclosures and verification of actual data collection. Necessary local storage may remember your cookie preference. Advertising personalisation is not enabled by the current DefenceXpress configuration.
You can review or change the choice at any time using Cookie settings in the site footer.
Register-interest forms
The current pre-launch register-interest form prepares a structured email in your own email application. The webpage itself does not place that form information into a DefenceXpress database. Nothing is sent to DefenceXpress until you review and send the email.
Please do not put passport details, licence numbers, bank information, health data or other sensitive personal information into the public pre-launch enquiry form.
Hosting and technical delivery
Standard hosting, security and network logs may be created by the hosting and infrastructure providers when the website is accessed. The site also uses essential browser storage for privacy preferences and local interactive features.
The security-search demonstration uses a page URL containing the description you type so it can display the illustrative assessment. That URL may remain in your own browser history, bookmarks or links you copy, and could appear in hosting or security logs. Please do not enter names, exact private addresses, medical information or confidential security details in the search description. DefenceXpress limits outgoing referrer information to the site origin, but cannot remove copies of URLs you independently save or share.
Development status
Public operational services are not yet active. A fuller operational privacy notice and data-processing framework will be required before account registration, operational security processing or direct database-based interest capture is activated.
Privacy information reviewed: 21 October 2026.
Who is responsible for this website?
DefenceXpress is a UK-based, unincorporated pre-launch project, not a registered limited company. Alfredo Castan is the individual operating DefenceXpress and is the data controller responsible for deciding how pre-launch enquiry information is used. For privacy questions, data requests, corrections or complaints, email contact@defencexpress.com with the subject Privacy enquiry.
What information is processed?
The Pathway Finder, example assessments and Officer Challenge use information you enter in your browser. They are demonstrations, not recruitment decisions, live service matching or licensing assessments. If you choose to send an email from Register Interest, Contact or website feedback, the information you include in that message is transmitted to the DefenceXpress mailbox through your own email provider. A prepared email is not sent until you press Send in your email application.
Messages may contain your name, email address, approximate region, pathway interests, enquiry text and any files you decide to attach. Please do not include identity documents, financial details, medical information, operationally sensitive security information, home addresses, or details about other people. Optional feedback screenshots may reveal personal information; review them before attaching.
Why we use that information
We use voluntarily emailed information to respond to the enquiry, understand interest in our proposed network and improve the pre-launch site. For ordinary enquiry correspondence, we rely on legitimate interests in replying to people who contact us and keeping appropriate enquiry records, balanced against their rights and freedoms. We will separately ask for consent before sending optional promotional marketing. An enquiry alone does not opt you into marketing.
Cookies, analytics and external services
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are currently disabled on the pre-launch website. The Cookie settings control lets you set or withdraw your preference, but does not itself switch on an inactive service. Before future analytics activation, we will check the appropriate consent requirements, provider settings, transmitted fields and privacy disclosures. Necessary browser storage may remember your choice. Third-party links, including social and video sites, have their own privacy practices. Website hosting providers may process necessary technical request and security logs.
Who may receive information?
Email enquiries may be processed by the email services used by you and DefenceXpress. Hosting and optional analytics providers may process relevant technical information. We do not claim that the inactive Firebase direct-submission backend receives applicant information. Before switching on any secure intake, we will verify the exact providers, storage locations, any international transfers and related safeguards and update this notice accordingly.
How long we keep information
Enquiry emails and any attachments should be retained only while reasonably needed to respond to the enquiry and manage relevant follow-up. The relevant criteria include the nature of the request, the date of the last meaningful contact, and any applicable legal obligation or ongoing dispute. Records that are no longer necessary should be deleted. No automatic deletion after a fixed period is promised for the current email-based pre-launch service. Hosting and security logs are subject to the actual infrastructure-provider retention settings. You may ask us about retention or request deletion using the privacy contact email above.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, and exercise other rights under UK data protection law. You may withdraw optional consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. To make a request or complain directly, email contact@defencexpress.com. You can also raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Before direct online registration is activated
The current Register Interest, Contact and feedback journeys use a visitor-controlled email workflow; direct database submission and feedback screenshot upload remain disabled. Before activating direct online collection, DefenceXpress will reconfirm controller contact information, any applicable business-address disclosure, supplier information, retention enforcement, security testing and this notice.
